Elitegroup Computer
Systems (ECS) was established in 1987 as one
of the first motherboard manufacturers in Taiwan
during a period of rapid growth in the world's
IT industry. In volume terms, ECS is now the
largest producer of motherboards in the world,
with production reaching 1.5 million units in
2001.
Recently,
ECS has concentrated on broadening its product
range. ECS made a name for itself in the PC
industry by introducing the Desknote PC platform
in October 2001, a portable desktop replacement
solution that fits in between the established
desktop and notebook categories. As part of
the Desknote platform, ECS raised the curtain
in January 2002 on the i-Buddie 4 (A928), the
world's first mobile Intel Pentium 4-based PC
that uses Intel's desktop Pentium 4 processors.
Other product lines are notebook PCs, thin client
products, graphics cards, LCD PCs and IA motherboards.
In a very short period of time, ECS has established
an international reputation as a major manufacturer
of new and innovative PC products. As the market
trend for smaller and more portable PCs continues,
ECS will continue to design new PC products.
Through achieving economies of scale and ownership
of key component factories, ECS is committed
to delivering high quality goods at competitive
prices, while also insuring a stable supply
of products for our long-term customers.
