Ruth Halperin is currently
a PhD candidate and a Teaching Assistant at the London School of
Economics, Department of Information Systems. In her doctoral research,
she is examining structurational perspectives on technology mediated
learning practices. She earned her BA and Master Degrees at Tel-Aviv
University (both with distinction).
Until September
2001 she was a project manager and a member of the product management
team at Britannica Knowledge Systems, a company specializing in
the development of E-Learning technologies. She was a member of
the Curriculum Development Centre at Beit Berl College, Israel,
where she acted as a supervisor of curriculum design projects and
developed media-integrated training programmes. She was also responsible
for a number of longitudinal evaluation studies in the area of curriculum
development and implementation.
She was the
instructor for an Undergraduate Course in the Department of Educational
Science at Beit Berl College and, prior to that, she held an appointment
as Teaching Assistant at the Holon College of Technology, Israel.
Over a period of several years, she was an employee at Claridge
Israel Inc. and Renaissance Management Fund, charged with the design,
operation and management of the company’s database system.
