Professor Ian Angell
researches in the computer security field. His research is centred
on the systemic risks inherent in socio-technical systems and on
the security threats posed to organisations by the rapidly diffusing
international information infrastructure.
He is policy adviser
to UNIDO, to the European Security Forum and to the House of Commons
Parliamentary Information Technology Committee on the threats posed
by the technical, and the resulting organisational, developments
in information technology.
Professor Angell
regularly presents at conferences, is widely published in both academic
and industry journals and is the author of a number of books.
