Ana
Isabel Canhoto is a doctoral student in the IS department at the
LSE. Her research focuses on profiling and money laundering detection
systems.
She was awarded
a joint-scholarship from the Portuguese Government and the European
Union, for the duration of her doctoral studies at LSE. She is a
also a class teacher and a WebCT designer at LSE.
Ana holds an
MBA from London Business School (2001), an MSc in European Studies
from Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa in Portugal (1995) and a BSc
in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal (1994).
Ana is an experienced manager and, prior to joining LSE, she worked
for a variety of organizations in the telecommunications, and the
media and entertainment industries, in Portugal and the UK. Ana
co-founded the first Internet Café in Portugal.
